SAVALAS STORIES

Lucy’s First Show Season

Savalas Models New Face, Lucy Fletcher Had An Outstanding First Show Season. Kicking Off Their Modelling Career With A Bang, They Walked In Major Fashion Shows In New York City, Milan And Paris.

Newcastle native Lucy Fletcher, 22, was visiting the agency for their weekly runway
training when the Savalas agents received the confirmation of their first runway show.
This wasn’t any ordinary show, new face Lucy was both shocked and excited when
their agents relayed the news that they were soon to be debuting at New York Fashion
Week, walking for Fendi’s 25th anniversary show for their iconic baguette bag.
There was little time to let the career-altering news sink in before Lucy was boarding
their flight to the city that never sleeps, right in time for the biggest fashion event of
the year, New York Fashion Week. The show took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom,
Manhattan, where Lucy walked for front row guests such as Kate Moss, Kim Kardashian
and Sarah Jessica Parker, who’s role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City was a
huge reason for the success of the baguette bag. Legendary supermodel Linda
Evangelista closed the show with a standing ovation.

Leading fashion industry database models.com was hoping to see more of Lucy,
saying “Left us wanting more, Lucy Fletcher, British model debuting in the
Hammerstein Ballroom.”

There wasn’t long to wait, as Lucy received news from Savalas HQ, letting them know
their next stop was Milan, where they walked for Italian fashion designer and
dressmaker, Alberta Ferretti in Milan Fashion Week. Lucy ended their astounding first
season by jetting to Paris for Paris Fashion Week where they walked for Off-White. This
show was Art and Image Director Ib Kamara’s first Off-White show and was titled
“Celebration” in homage to founder Virgil Albloh. In attendance was Naomi Campbell,
Erykah Badu and Winnie Harlow.

Since returning home and back to their everyday routine of university lectures and
spending time with their dad’s chickens, Lucy spoke to The Chronicle about the
experience and said “It’s all happened so quickly. I never thought I would do that,
so it was just crazy.”

The future looks bright for this Savalas Models new face.
